Geology and Pedology

The soil of the property is made up of 90% colluvial limestone on green clay usually called "sloping vineyard clay-limestone soil". It's an early terroir well-suited for all sorts of grapes.

Water that was stored in the soil over the winter is slowly dispensed to the vines throughout the summer thanks to the porous limestone. As a result the vines rarely suffer from a lack of water.

The remaining 10% of the soil of the property is unique to L'Envège area. It's a later terroir particularly well-adapted for dry or sweet white wines.
